Privacy Policy
AxarPatel.com is a read-only fan site. There are no accounts, sign-ups, or comment forms, so we collect very little about you. This page explains what little there is, the privacy-conscious analytics we use to understand how the site is used, and how advertising partners may use cookies.

What we collect directly
Nothing you have to type in, unless you write to us. We don't ask for your name, email, or any other personal details just to browse. We do use privacy-conscious analytics, described below, to understand which pages are useful.
If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name (if you give one), email address, and message. We use that only to read and reply. We never add you to a mailing list, and never sell or share it. We delete correspondence once it's no longer needed.
Like almost every website, our hosting provider automatically processes basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type, and the page requested, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. We don't use this to identify you.
Analytics and tracking
We use two privacy-conscious tools to understand how the site is used and to make it better — which pages people read, what is popular, and whether something is broken. We do not use them to sell your data, build a mailing list, or identify you by name.
- Vercel Web Analytics is first-party analytics from our host, Vercel. It is privacy-friendly and does not use persistent personal tracking.
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4) helps us understand aggregate visitor traffic, popular content, and site performance. GA4 uses first-party cookies to measure how people use the site. It does not store personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name or email. Google processes this data under Google's Privacy Policy.
You can limit Google Analytics with your browser's cookie and tracking controls, or with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. The site still works if you do. Advertising cookies, if ads are shown, are separate and are explained below.
What we store on your device
If you switch between light and dark mode, your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so the site remembers it next time. If you dismiss match-report alerts, or turn them on, that choice and the browser's notification permission are saved the same way, along with which career article you were last alerted about. Match-report alerts do not ask for a contact address. This stays on your device. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
Advertising and cookies
This site may display advertising, including through Google AdSense, and may include affiliate links (e.g., via Cuelinks) that earn a commission on qualifying purchases.
When ads are shown, third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. These ads may be personalised (based on your interests) or non-personalised (based on general context such as the page you're reading).
Affiliate links may also use cookies to record that a purchase came from a link on this site, so the retailer can pay the commission. This doesn't tell us who you are or what you bought.

How to opt out
- Stop Google Analytics with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser.
- Turn off personalised ads from Google in Google's Ads Settings.
- Opt out of personalised ads from many other ad vendors at aboutads.info.
- Block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work normally; you may just see less relevant ads, and analytics may be less complete.
Children
This site is written for a general cricket audience and is not directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If how the site handles information changes, for example if we add a newsletter, we'll update this page and the “last updated” date above before the change takes effect. For how the site is funded and run more generally, see our Disclosures.
